Liam,

Love the 6-8-80 show, I hitched from Vermont to see those shows and the UJB>Playin>UJB is the absolute best opening I ever saw, just awesome!!

A couple of my underrated, sleeper, gems are:

5-8-80, One of my Favorite UJB's of all time, great Prophet > Eyes, AwesomeTruckin into one of the sweetest rawest Stella Blues of all time. It also has a top 1st set with one of the great Ramble On Roses, a High Time, an excellent Lazy Lightning> Supplication, and a great FOTD. this is an all around excellent show.

And 7-14-81, a rare 13 song 1st set, featuring Cold Rain, Big RR, Bird Song, to Lay Me Down and ending with Lost Sailor>St>Don't Ease. Set 2 is even better, The slowest funkiest Shakedown I have heard, A rare 2nd set High Time and then the Jam starts with a nice Truckin. At the end of Trucking the rest of the band stops playing and lets Jerry do a really raw 45 second solo that morphs into an epic Eyes. After Drums the Jam is sweet and raging, TOO > Wharf > Good Love with a Miracle tease thrown in (luckily they had the good sense to pass this opportunity to play it). This is one of my favorite shows and one that few people seem to have.

Also I just read your review of 9-2-85 and you did indeed hear scat during Minglewood, but it was Brent, Not Bobby. he was scatting to his keyboard licks, it is a great moment.
